Lampshades: The subtle allure of suffused light

2016. Euroluce – Light of Italy adds another exciting chapter to its history of achievements: the company starts the production of artisanal lampshades for its own collections and for those who demand high-quality, customised lampshades.
Producing a high-end, artisanal lampshade requires cleverness, experience, precision, knowledge of the materials, creative skills and attention.
Euroluce – Light of Italy employs skilled lampshade crafters and seamstresses with extremely valuable experience who have refined their techniques in long years of acclaimed work.
Entirely crafted by hand, each lampshade stands out thanks to exquisite fabrics and quality materials, its refined elegance and harmony, the effects and the atmospheres it manages to evoke in the spaces where it is situated.
There are essentially two lampshade types that are manufactured in Euroluce’s workshops:
1. Lampshades created with handsewn fabrics
2. Lampshades created with textiles and PVC fabric

The handsewn fabric lampshades are the finest ones. Made with organza, shantung, cotonette, pongee, high-quality linen, canvas, passementerie, braid and lace, they are skilfully crafted by experienced seamstresses who sew the fabrics and hem them exclusively by hand. They are classic style lampshades that follow the best of the Made in Italy tradition.

Micrometric precision goes into the textile and PVC lampshades. Fabrics are cut and assembled with the PVC by state-of-the-art, high-precision machines. Thus we obtain complex lampshades, original and with a modern style. Moreover, milling the fabrics allows the creation of new and customisable designs that create particular effects as light flows through them. The assembly phase where fabrics are mounted onto the lampshade frames is entirely executed by hand.

The production of lampshades is another customer-oriented activity of Euroluce – Light of Italy, offering clients the maximum customisation based on their needs and specific requests.
